"In June 2011 Fletcher Developments started work on an ambitious project to re-order St. James church in Welland. This involved transforming an underused Victorian church used by only 20 people once a week for Sunday worship into a facility that could double as a resource for the local community whilst still remaining a centre of worship.

The PCC chose Fletcher Developments to carry out the work as from the outset they understood the nature of what we were wanting to achieve ie. a sympathetic blend of the old and new.

The first phase consisted of constructing disabled access, three toilets, one of which conforms to disability requirements, a fully functioning kitchen and a dedicated area and storeroom for our weekly charity shop on the ground floor. The second phase entailed an open mezzanine balcony, with a small meeting room at one end. Never once did they disappoint us. Their workmanship and choice of materials were of the highest order. All those employed by Fletchers, whether directly or as sub contractors were courteous and polite at all times.

Another plus for us was the level of co-operation between Fletchers and our chosen architect who project managed the work . They held weekly meetings with us to review progress and to iron out the inevitable snags that cropped up. If we needed to contact them at other times, they responded promptly.

The work was completed on budget and on time. The end result is stunning and far exceeds our wildest dreams! We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Fletcher Developments for anyone considering projects such as ours."
